Empowering Francophone Newcomers Through Tax & Financial Education

Description:
DMECI has launched an ongoing tax education series designed to support Francophone newcomer communities in Canada. This initiative provides practical, easy-to-understand guidance on filing personal taxes, accessing government credits and benefits, and confidently navigating the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) system.

The initial session was delivered in collaboration with the Cameroonian Francophone community at Boréal College. While the first workshop focused on this group, the program is designed to expand and serve a wider range of French-speaking newcomer communities in future sessions.

Emmanuel Tchoukou served as the resource person for the session, providing direct guidance and practical insights throughout the workshop.

Through this ongoing series, DMECI continues its mission to strengthen financial literacy, promote economic inclusion, and equip Francophone newcomers with the essential tools needed for successful settlement and long-term stability in Canada.
