Are you in need of assistance with your tax return? If you have a modest income and a simple tax situation, you may qualify for free tax help provided by volunteers at our free tax clinic. We proudly host these clinics to support our members as well as the community of Windsor and Essex through the Community Volunteer Income Tax Program (CVITP).
Our free tax clinics offer different options to cater to various preferences and circumstances. You can choose between in-person, virtual, or drop-off services based on your convenience and comfort. To have your taxes prepared at our free tax clinic, please ensure you have your tax information slips, receipts, Social Insurance Number, and identification documents ready. Most of your slips and receipts should be available to you by the end of February. If you are missing any documents, you can request copies from the issuers or access them online through services like My Account or Service Canada.
Free tax clinics are generally available between March and April, although some clinics may operate year-round. Filing your taxes in a timely manner is essential as it allows you to access various benefits and credits, including the Canada Child Benefit, the GST/HST credit, and the disability tax credit. This is an invaluable opportunity to receive free tax assistance from dedicated volunteers, so be sure not to miss out.
At DMEC Inc, we are dedicated to providing financial services that benefit our community. Our free tax clinics are designed to assist individuals with their tax returns, particularly those with modest incomes and straightforward tax situations. Don't hesitate to take advantage of this opportunity to receive professional guidance and support from our volunteer team.
