Building Community Together Across Finance, Housing & Beyond
Diamond Multicultural Economic Co-operative Inc. (DMECi) is a member-owned organization based in Windsor-Essex. We’re committed to building community well-being through financial empowerment, housing awareness, and inclusive development initiatives.
Our General Services area supports community development, capacity building, and partnership-based activities that meet local needs and contribute to long-term community well-being.
Community Development & Emerging Initiatives
This stream supports community-focused activities, including:
Learning & Skills: Community capacity building, skills development, educational workshops, and youth engagement (boys and girls).
Well-being & Inclusion: Mental health and wellness support, women’s empowerment, senior engagement, support for people living with disabilities, and LGBTQ+ inclusive initiatives.
Culture & Local Economy: Cultural events, tourism participation, and social or recreational programming.
These activities are informed by ongoing community engagement and partnerships and are evolving with local needs.
Collaboration & Capacity Building
DMECi is actively expanding its capacity to deliver and strengthen community programming. Current efforts include:
- Building partnerships with community organizations and institutions
- Identifying funding and grant opportunities
- Engaging community members to define priorities
- Developing pilot initiatives for future program delivery

Current Focus
